3. Is FlexPen® easy to use?
   Yes. Before using FlexPen®, first read your FlexPen® Package Insert which contains step by step instructions.

5. What if I make a mistake dialing my dose?
   If you dial up to an incorrect dose using the FlexPen®, simply dial back to the correct dose before continuing with the injection.
6. Does FlexPen® need to be refilled?
   No. FlexPen® comes prefilled with 3 mL (300 units) of ready-to-use insulin, either Levemir®, NovoLog®, or NovoLog® Mix 70/30. When finished, safely dispose of FlexPen® as you would an insulin syringe and begin a new FlexPen®.
7. Which insulin formulations are available with FlexPen®?
   The following Novo Nordisk insulins are dispensed in FlexPen®.
   • Levemir®
   • NovoLog®
   • NovoLog® Mix 70/30
8. What needles can I use with FlexPen®?
   FlexPen® uses short, ultrathin NovoFine® disposable needles^**. In one study, 90% of insulin-using patients indicated that NovoFine® disposable needles were practically pain-free.
9. Do I need to refrigerate FlexPen®?
   Once in use, FlexPen® can be used without refrigeration (below 86 degrees F) as follows:
   • A FlexPen® prefilled with Levemir® can be used for 42 days without refrigeration.
   • A FlexPen® prefilled with NovoLog® can be used for 28 days without refrigeration.
   • A FlexPen® prefilled with NovoLog® Mix 70/30 can be used for 14 days without refrigeration.
